Those of you who watch The Voice on Monday and Tuesday nights know that country boy Blake Shelton has some serious twang to his sound and enjoys the occasional sip (or flask) of Bacardi. So where did Blake get his impressive swagger and affinity for the word “y’all”? This backwoods boy is from Ada, Oklahoma!
He started singing at age 12 and had written his first song at age 15. Blake later moved to Nashville, Tenn. to pursue his love of music, but Oklahoma remained a big part of his heart.
When he’s not filming The Voice, Blake and his wife, country superstar Miranda Lambert, currently live in Tishomingo, Okla. right outside of Texoma.
