Glee’s Jonathan Groff To Star In HBO Pilot!

Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James) bid adieu to his fellow Gleeks last season, but this dude has been non-stop busy since his days as a New Directions mega-hunk. And now he's joining a new HBO pilot!

Jonathan is slated to play Patrick in an untitled project about a group of gay besties living it up in San Francisco. Apparently, Patrick is a hugely successful video game developer (nerd alert) who has terrible luck with his love life. Possibly due to the whole gaming thing....

Expect Frankie Alvarez to co-star as Patrick's friend Augustin, a super-political art assistant with an ego that won't quit. The project is being produced by Bored to Death's Sarah Condon and Brothers and Sisters' David Marshall Grant, and the script is being penned by screenwriter Michael Lannan! Sounds like a dream team, guys and dolls!

Sigh, we're happy for Jonathan and all, but we long for the good ol' days when he was egging Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) on Glee. Sob, memories!

Will you tune into Jonathan's new show? Hit the comments and dish!
