Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time Season 2, Episode 13 Review: What Did You Think of “Tiny”?

After a two week hiatus, we couldn't wait to see what Once Upon a Time Season 2, Episode 13: “Tiny” had in store. Did it live up to our hopes? Read on for Wetpaint Entertainment's review of the episode, and then rate it yourself.

In Storybrooke, David/Charming (Josh Dallas), Mary Margaret/Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin), and co. deal with the first trick up Cora's (Barbara Hershey) sleeve: Anton the giant (Jorge Garcia), who has a grudge against humans in general and Charming in particular. As we learn in the flashbacks, he was once royally screwed over by Charming's twin and a hot adventuress named Jack.

Anton has quickly become one of our favorite guest characters (perhaps because we love Jorge Garcia so much), so we enjoyed getting to know him better. Plus, now that Anton has given the town the magic beanstalk, the question of whether or not they should return to Fairytale Land is no longer merely hypothetical, which is interesting. On the other hand ... Why does Cora want the beans? That's worrying.

(Plus, we learn Charmings's real name — which is actually David!)

Meanwhile, Belle (Emilie de Ravin), still lacking memory, is freaking out because she remembers Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) using magic — a fact Greg (Ethan Embry) is all too interested to learn. This is another plotline that could go someplace really interesting.

Outside of Storybrooke, Gold, Emma (Jennifer Morrison), and Henry (Jared Gilmore) are off on the search for Baelfire. Unfortunately, outside of the confines of his town, Gold seems to have lost his confidence, to the point of having a mini-breakdown in the bathroom. Count us intrigued by this plot, too. Very intrigued.

Overall, this is a strong first outing back, though not one of the best episodes ever. It's mostly set up, but we like what it's setting up. We give it 3.5 stars. What do you think? Rate it yourself below!

Loved this episode!

I wasn't a huge fan.
