Toni Braxton Retires From Music, Now Wants to Play a Lesbian on Film
"Un-Break My Heart" singer Toni Braxton just re-broke the hearts of her fans by announcing plans to retire from the music world.
She talked about falling out of love with music during a Good Morning America appearance on Friday, February 8. "It's not affecting me, making me feel that thing I've always felt when I perform. It's leaving me," Toni said (via Us Weekly). "I'm not sure what's going on in my life. Maybe a female mid-life crisis? My heart isn't in it anymore. I hate to say that."
However, she seems to have renewed passion for acting — and she has a somewhat surprising role in mind. "I would like to play a lesbian," she said. "I don't know why. And do a whole make-out scene and the whole thing; just something completely different than people would expect from me. Not a lipstick lesbian, either."
OK, then! Maybe she will land the perfect role and this will be the start of a whole new career. What do you think?
