Will.i.am Gets Sued For Britney Spears Collaboration – Report
Will.i.am is in for a world of pain. Hot off the heels of his chart-topping collaboration with Britney Spears, "Scream and Shout," boyfriend is being sued by N-Dubz member Tulisa, who claims that she wrote lyrics for the track and has yet to be compensated.
Apparently, Tulisa was originally going to release "Scream and Shout" on her debut album "The Female Boss" before Will poached it out from under her, and girlfriend is none too happy. “Tulisa is still fuming with Will for taking the song off her," a source tells The Sun. "The fact the song blew up only makes it worse. She’s well within her right to claim some of the publishing money. If she proves the words are hers, she could get a huge payout.”
If Tulisa is successful with her lawsuit (she claims that the lyric "When you hear this in the club, you’d better turn this s*** up” was penned by her), Will will have to list her name as a co-writer and pay out a hefty wad of benjamins.
