Jennifer Lopez Thwarts Grammy Crasher’s Attempt to Join Adele on Stage
What’s in? Celebrities photo bombing each other at award shows. What’s out? D-listers acceptance-speech bombing our girl Adele at the Grammy Awards! That’s exactly what Ukrainian TV presenter Vitalii Sediuk did on Sunday night as Adele attempted to accept her Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Set Fire To The Rain.” In what Vitalii claims was a spur of the moment decision, he rushed onto the stage to say, “I love you, Adele,” reports People. Yeah, dude, we all do, but there’s a time and a place for declaring fan-love. Crashing the Grammys and the main stage without any ID, stealing Adam Levine’s empty seat, and ruining a beautiful moment for Adele is definitely not it.
Vitalii tried explaining himself out of this one, telling the Hollywood Reporter, “The idea to go on stage came up at the last second. To be honest, Adele is my favorite singer. So when I heard her name, I came up with this idea to go up on the stage and say what I said... I’m not a crazy guy. I just think differently.” Fortunately, Jennifer Lopez helped stop the incident by turning Vitalii away and the police followed up J.Lo’s scolding by arresting him immediately. BTW, this is not Vitalii’s first celebrity humiliation incident. In May, he kissed Will Smith on the red carpet of Men in Black 3’s Moscow premiere. Obviously, this guy is trying to make celebs look bad just to get laughs. And it’s just not that funny! Source: People, Hollywood Reporter
