Matt Damon Claims He’ll Stop Using Toilets to Save Water
Matt Damon is taking activism to a whole new level.
The Bourne Identity star says he will stop going to the bathroom to bring attention to the fact that people in certain parts of the world don't have access to clean water, according to E! Online.
"Anybody have any idea what invention has saved more lives than any other in the history of humankind?" Matt asks in a video. "The toilet."
"What's even more shocking is the catastrophic worldwide lack of clean water and sanitation," he continues. "More people have cell phones than toilets."
So Matt, who is the founder of Water.org, is raising the bar.
"In protest of this global tragedy, until this issue is resolved, until everybody has access to clean water and sanitation, I will not go to the bathroom," he says. Yikes!
At least there's no denying that the man is dedicated to his cause.
And while it seems safe to assume that Matt is kidding, it's clear that the dire water situation in some countries is no joke.
