Young Florida Woman Experiences 50 Orgasms a Day: It’s “Torture”

At first blush, the thought of 50 orgasms sounds like a dream — one preferably involving Ryan Gosling and/or Channing Tatum — but it’s reality for one Florida woman, and it has nearly driven her to suicide.

Now-22-year-old Amanda Gryce tells The Sun that she first noticed the symptoms when she was only 8. “I had no idea what was happening to me,” she admits. “I thought I was just sex-obsessed.”

She only learned of the underlying condition — which has been dubbed Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome, or PSAS — five years ago from a discussion on the radio.

Finally, she knew why she was experiencing 50 orgasms in one day, and five or ten within an hour of each other. “You could say it has become a torture,” she reveals. “This condition controls your life completely and it is like living a nightmare.”

She tries to maintain a normal lifestyle, working as a sales associate in a baby products store, but the slightest trigger can set her off — her phone vibrating, the thumping of loud music, and even car or plane travel.

“It’s very embarrassing. It kills me inside. I just have to put on a smile and pretend that nothing’s wrong. Orgasms are supposed to be a good feeling but … I’m living with constant fear and shame,” she says. “I get people say I’m making it up and that I’m really a nymphomaniac.”

She has even considered suicide, the route tragically taken last year by Gretchen Molannen, another Florida woman with the same condition.

Luckily, she has a good support system in her understanding friends and family, and has even started dating. Amanda also hopes her spot in the public eye will provide support to others with the condition.

Here’s hoping a cure is in sight, so that the only orgasms she experiences are ones brought on by some sexy lover!
