Country Stars React to Death of “Dear Sweet Girl” Mindy McCready
Last night, we were shocked and saddened by the news of country singer Mindy McCready's death by apparent suicide. Mindy, 37, whose body was found February 17, had struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues. Her "soul mate" David Wilson, was also found dead last month. They leave behind a 9-month-old son, Zayne, and Mindy’s 6-year-old son, Zander.
Mindy's fellow country stars tweeted reactions to the tragic news.
Wynonna Judd: "Oh my! Mindy. Dear sweet girl. This is so sad. It just breaks my heart what addiction continues to take from this life. Addiction is a dis EASE & not a character flaw. When the pain becomes too much, it causes people to want that pain to stop. This is just so Unbelievable & so sad. God be with the family & those babies. Surround them with your grace & mercy. Sleep in Heavenly peace Mindy."
