After an emotional third season of Teen Mom 2, we won’t have to wait a single week for Season 4. And we couldn’t be more excited to spend some more QT with Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska, and Jenelle Evans.
But ever since the dramatic promo aired, we’ve been worried about the relationship between Kailyn and new hubby Javi Marroquin. In the clip, there’s an altercation between Kailyn and Javi, in which Kailyn appears to hit her husband and he proceeds to storm out of the house.
But Kailyn’s friend Lex Lopez recently set the record straight when speaking with The Clicker, a blog linked to The Today Show.
“That day there were 14 people in Kail’s tiny house, including an eight-person camera crew. It was so hectic and Kail was very frustrated and she just lost it for a minute,” Lex said. “Javi forgave her that day, even though MTV tries to make it look like he leaves the house after the incident. In fact, he went outside to go help his parents fix Kail’s car.”
Lex claims Kailyn never hit Javi, but rather, just pushed him.
“There was a moment where I take Javi's head and I shook it,” she told us. “I had a temper so bad, that I knew I was getting out of control."
Kailyn also recently admitted to being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. But if Kailyn’s friend’s recollection of the event is accurate, then it’s certainly not as concerning as the promo makes it out to be.
"This is a docu-series and the scenes shown are accurate portrayals of each young woman’s story – the trailer includes a confrontation that took place between Kailyn and Javi, and shows her expressing her feelings about it," an MTV spokesperson told The Clicker. "Viewers will see this event unfold later in the season."
