Pretty Little Liars Burning Question: Is Melissa Part of the “A” Team?

Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto) has always been one of the most suspicious figures on Pretty Little Liars. Although she's barely been around during Season 3, she's still managed to get even more suspicious.

Let's revisit some of the reasons we think Spencer's (Troian Bellisario) big sis might be involved with the "A" team.

Enemies, enemies everywhere. Melissa didn't like Ali (Sasha Pieterse). Melissa also has a nebulous and confusing relationship to the NAT club, Jenna (Tammin Sursok), and the night of Ali's disappearance. Melissa had reason to be mad at her little sis, too (what with Spence macking on her boyfriend and then her fiance). We're still not entirely sure what the "A" team's agenda is, but Melissa has a number of plausible motivations for being involved.

Black Swan, what? We know Melissa was at the masquerade ball as the Black Swan. She claims Mona (Janel Parrish) blackmailed her into going, but we're not sure we buy that story, at all. Maybe she was there as part of the "A" team.

Liar, Liar. We know she's capable of telling the kinds of lies required to be part of the team, since she freaking lied about losing her baby.

Why was she talking to CeCe the night Ali disappeared? We really don't trust CeCe, so the fact that she was spotted talking to her the night Ali died is a major red flag.

Of course, there's also the possibility that Melissa was involved with Ali's death, but not the "A" team. Or maybe she is more innocent than she appears. What do you think?
