In her Bravo blog, the single mother explains that Kennedy was supposed to spend the weekend with Taylor’s parents, and Taylor had instructed the nanny to stop by Kyle’s to pick up Kennedy’s iPad. While there, Kyle thought it would be fun take Kennedy to Kim’s nose unveiling party so that she could play with Portia, Kyle’s daughter. The nanny left Kennedy in Kyle’s able hands and told Taylor’s parents about the change of plans, but neglected to tell Taylor herself. So when Taylor called with the news of her impromptu getaway plans to Bear Creek, she had every reason to be confused about Kennedy’s whereabouts.
“Kyle is one of my closest friends and she truly has been like a second mom to Kennedy,” wrote Taylor. “The nanny was very aware of the strong bond between our families and knew I would have complete confidence having Kennedy with Kyle and family... I was not called which was unacceptable. My mother assumed I had approved the change in plans.”
Taylor was also disappointed that Kyle did not stick up for her more when the housewives gossiped about the whole ordeal.
“I take my responsibility for Kennedy more seriously than anything,” Taylor wrote. “Kyle knows this well, and I am hurt she didn’t communicate this and the facts of the evening when the girls were discussing it at the table at Kim’s.”
One thing Taylor doesn’t deny is the fact that she was a bit tipsy when she made the phone call, which she attributes to a few too many celebratory champagne toasts with John Bluher, the mystery man she went to Colorado with (and her lawyer). She also makes no apologies for missing Kim’s big party.
“Hmmm... private jet to Beaver Creek with the man I am falling in love with or a nose job unveiling party... you decide,” wrote Taylor of her snap decision jet off with John. “I mean honestly, if I went to a party for every friend that gets a plastic surgery in Beverly Hills, I would never sleep.”
