The Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Was Shane Right About Silas All Along?
If you asked us whether the hallucinating, injured Shane (David Alpay) would make it out of Silas’s spooky cave after The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 14, “Down the Rabbit Hole,” we would’ve said, what witch herbs have you been smoking?
But in a sneak peek video for Season 4, Episode 15, “Stand by Me,” the creepy professor is alive and well. Too well.
“How are you healed,” asks Bonnie (Kat Graham), skeptically. “It was SIlas,” Shane replies. “He helped me.”
The witch isn’t exactly Shane’s biggest fan right now — she found out about the people he helped massacre and that he taught her the same magic that killed his wife. “Silas is going to bring them back,” he promises her.
Then the scholar goes on to tell her about Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), saying she’s going to want to raise the dead, too.
Last episode, Jer helped Bonnie realize that the vision of her Grams she saw in the cave was just a hallucination. Somehow, Silas was producing the illusion. The same was obviously true of Shane’s wife — but she was the one who convinced him to do all those sacrifices and assured him the dead can be raised.
Was Silas just manipulating Shane, or will the ancient witch make good on his promise?
