Was Amanda Clarke’s Death on Revenge Season 2 Necessary?

Sunday’s death in Revenge Season 2, Episode 14, “Sacrifice,” was more shocking than the time Declan Porter wore a suit or the time Victoria Grayson entered The Stowaway in ... slacks.

We said goodbye to stripper-turned-mother Fauxmanda Clarke, and it was definitely a sob fest. Homegirl died trying to save some jewelry, and that’s a cause we can get behind.

Since the death aired, show creator Mike Kelley, actress Margarita Levieva, and other members of the Revenge cast have all talked about how Amanda’s death was necessary to bring Emily Thorne and the rest of the characters into the next phase of their respective missions.

Her death will shift Emily’s focus back to the Graysons and her original task. But was it really necessary to kill off this character?

Mandy’s death will definitely have a big impact on the show, but Emily could have found plenty of other ways to remember that the Graysons are Public Enemy No. 1.

Do you think her death was necessary? Tell us below!
