Demi Lovato’s New Single “Heart Attack” Debuts Early — Listen!
Demi Lovato’s new single, “Heart Attack,” wasn’t supposed to premiere until March 4, but the pop star surprised fans by debuting the track over a week early.
You heard us. Demi released her single on February 24, and yes... we pretty much had a heart attack when she tweeted the news.
On Sunday night, Ryan Seacrest tweeted, “Surprise! We're premiering @ddlovato's new song "#HeartAttack" TONIGHT!! Go listen now!” Demi immediately retweeted him, announcing, “SURPRISE!!! ”
The new track is classic Demi — confident and powerful vocals, a fun and energetic dance beat, and her honest treatment of love and heartbreak.
"And the title is just about falling in love and taking that risk. But, she's terrified and, by 'she,' I mean me. But, I think everyone comes to a point where they feel very vulnerable in falling in love and that's what I'm talking about," Demi tells MTV News.
But “Heart Attack” is just one of many songs on Demi’s upcoming album, which as of right now still doesn’t have an official release date.
"Not only does the album say a lot about where I am in life right now [but] like there's follow-up songs," she says. "I feel like one is a follow-up song to 'Skyscraper.' I feel like other ones talk about some issues I haven't spoken about. I'm continuing to let out a lot of things therapeutically on my music and I'm very thankful I have the opportunity to do that.”
Take a listen to “Heart Attack,” then head to the comments to sound off about what you think. Is this your favorite Demi song yet?
