When Does The Nashville TV Show Air in the UK?

Of all the American exports to England, our money is on Nashville as the one that will have the greatest success. The social nuances and multiple storylines are pretty universally appealing, and the songs don’t hurt a bit. The show began airing on U.K. TV station Channel 4’s More4 on February 7, 2013, and airs every Thursday at 10pm.

Although the country music featured in the show is distinctly American, Sam Palladio (Gunnar Scott) is one of the U.K.’s own, and for that, we have to say a hearty “thank you.” It’s hard to believe that Gunnar’s Texas twang came by way of Cornwall, England, but we’re happy to have that import stateside.

Nashville Season 1, Episode 4, “We Live in Two Different Worlds,” airs this week, February 28. So far, the show has gotten good reviews from local papers. The Guardian said of the show, it’s “the perfect treatment of a musical genre that is knee-deep in rhinestones and showbiz – all strong female leads with closets full of skeletons, and story arcs that would make its E4 stablemate Revenge look like a gritty docusoap.”

Sounds like our mutual television admiration is healthy and strong. (P.S. Have we already thanked you enough for Downton Abbey?)
