Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: Jesse Williams on Jackson’s “Inner Turmoil”
Grey's Anatomy is on a mini hiatus, but at least we have spoilers to help see us through the interminable wait. Fortunately, TVLine recently spoke to Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery), who dished some spoilers about what we can expect from Jackson when we return to Seattle Grace-Mercy West.

Jesse explained that Jackson's new role as a hospital bigwig is both a “leap forward” and a "leap back."
Obviously this extra responsibility is in some ways good for Jackson, who "wants to be taken seriously and to make his own name for himself." On the other hand, his new role on the board is the "result of his legacy and his family, which is what he set out from the very beginning [to avoid]. So that creates some inner turmoil for him, and maybe a little bit of guilt."
Spoilers for Episode 17 say that one doc questions his future at the hospital, and more and more we're thinking that doc is Jackson.
Meanwhile, romantic entanglements are still a major part of Jackson' story right now, and while Jesse refused to drop any solid spoilers about the Jackson/April/Stephanie/Matthew love square — and in fact claimed he doesn't know if/how it will be resolved this season — he did hint that "[those] two ships are going to try to meet at some point by the end of the season.”
