Who Will Go Home on American Idol Next From the Top 20?
We're finally down to the 2013 American Idol Season 12 Top 20! The new, sudden death approach of the Las Vegas rounds forced the judges to make some seriously tough calls.
Quite a few really talented singers were sent home in the American Idol elimination results the past two weeks. The judges have made their decisions, and soon it will be our turn to voice our vote. Who do we think will go home in the first voting rounds? Read on to find out our predictions!
They had to part ways with some really amazing singers who may have had a longer run under a different format. And, on last Thursday’s show, the judges even had to enlist the help of Jimmy Iovine for help on a tiebreaker. So far, the following 15 hopefuls have survived the cuts:
What do you think of this Top 20? We think it could make for a very interesting show. With singers like Angela Miller doing originals, Zoanette Johnson doing God-knows-what, and Nick Boddington wowing with his super pure vocals, this truly could be one of the best seasons of Idol yet.
Off the top of our heads, the first people we think may be eliminated first from this group in the voting rounds would be:
Charlie Askew -- The judges may have a fascination with him, but that quirky schtick will only get him so far once viewers can vote.
Paul Jolley -- He has been on the bubble in Hollywood Week and in Las Vegas. The guy only has so many lives.
Elijah Liu -- Nicki Minaj wants to have his babies (ewww), but we weren’t so sure he has the appeal or the vocals to go very far.
Cortez Shaw -- This guy really angered the judges by taking on a Whitney song and then botching it. If he doesn’t watch his song choices, he could be gone.
Tenna Torres -- She definitely has a unique vocal tone, but we’re not sure her style of music will have widespread appeal.
