Honey Boo Boo Forced to Stop Selling Girl Scout Cookies Online

It would be convenient to just go on Honey Boo Boo’s Facebook page to buy some Thin Mints.

According to TMZ, Honey Boo Boo posted this ad on her F-book page (which has more than 700,000 fans) to help a friend sell Girl Scout cookies. It has a photo of Honey Boo Boo, and includes an e-mail address featuring her name (Alana Thompson) for people to send in orders. But a rep for Girl Scouts of the USA in Georgia told TMZ they contacted Honey Boo Boo’s site administrator to make sure they knew selling Girl Scout cookies online is not allowed, because it supposedly defeats the purpose of the whole thing. The sales Honey Boo Boo got for her friend will count, but they were told to take the ad banner down, because it was deemed unfair to other girls selling cookies.

But Mama June told TMZ they weren't doing anything wrong to advertise online for sales. "If I can raise more money for a troop, whoever they are, especially in an area where they don’t get a lot of money, and parents can’t afford to buy a ton of cookies, why wouldn't I help?"

According to, "Although Girl Scouts of the USA does not currently allow online sales of Girl Scout Cookies, we are presently researching how to make it possible for girls to engage consumers in online sales, while continuing to help them develop critical and relevant entrepreneurship skills in the process."

Yes, please figure it out! Homebound or just lazy cookie lovers want legit online sales and delivery, via Honey Boo Boo or not.
