Once Upon a Time Spoiler: Young Cora’s Tragic Love Story
Most of the characters on Once Upon a Timecan easily be divided into two categories: the ones who have found True Love and the ones who have not. But there is a third, more elite group populated with some of the most miserable and divisive characters on the show. It is the unhappy collection of those who have found True Love, only to have lost it, and we can add one more to their number. Upcoming OUAT guest star Rose McGowan shared this tidbit about her character, Young Cora, with E! Online: "I fall madly in love, and then it ends tragically."
Sounds like mother and daughter have more in common than Regina would like to admit. This casts an interesting light on Cora’s decision to kill Regina’s True Love, Daniel, which acted as a catalyst for Regina’s gradual descent into dark magic.
Rose also shared that most of her scenes are with Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle). Could Rumple be the person she falls in love with or does he have more to do with the “ends tragically” part of the equation? Our money is on the latter, though we did see Rumple and Cora share a kiss for old-time’s sake earlier this season.
Either way, Rose did say filming was “an amazing experience” and that she will be back next season: “It’s in the works.”
Next season, you say? Intriguing, considering Rose plays a flashback version of a recurring character. Does Rose know something we don’t? If OUAT closes their second season in the same game-changing manner they did the first, perhaps the younger versions of our fairy tale friends will come to play a more important role in OUAT?
