Glee Music Spoiler: Rachel and Brody Will Sing Radiohead — UPDATE
Ryan Murphy, you’re such a tease! The Glee creator tweeted a pic of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Brody (Dean Geyer) looking less than thrilled on the NYADA stage. The caption? “Creep drama.” What could he mean by that? Well, Ryan may in fact be referring to the song “Creep,” which would mean that Glee is finally doing a song by Radiohead. Sure, there are other songs called “Creep,” — one by TLC, and another by Stone Temple Pilots — but we don’t really think either of those versions make sense within the context of Rachel and Brody’s relationship. If you think we’re just swallowing crazy pills with this prediction, consider the first line of the 90s hit: “When you were here before, couldn’t look you in the eye...” Well, these two couldn’t be avoiding each other’s gaze more than they are in this photo!
Plus, Rachel and Brody each seem to have their own shocking secret that is probably eating away at them: Rachel slept with Finn and is (apparently) pregnant, while Brody seems to be doing a little paid sex work on the side. We think a song with lyrics as self-loathing as these, the song doesn’t seem at all out of place for these two:
I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so very special
I wish I was special
But I’m a creep
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don’t belong here
We could be totally wrong here, of course. Maybe Ryan just means that Rachel and Brody are both creeps? Frankly, we can’t really argue that point. These two have both been really dishonest with each other, and we’re pretty sure Santana is about to uncover the uncomfortable truths they’ve been hiding.
