One Day at a Time’s Bonnie Franklin Dies From Pancreatic Cancer at Age 69
Bonnie Franklin — best known for playing Ann Romano on the CBS show One Day at a Time — died March 1 at home in Los Angeles due to complications from pancreatic cancer. She was 69.
One Day at a Time, which co-starred Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli, ran from 1975-1984 and earned Bonnie both Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. She most recently appeared on Hot in Cleveland and had a cameo on The Young and the Restless.
In September 2012, her family announced her treatment for pancreatic cancer.
