Pregnant Kate Middleton Thrills Crowd, Chats About Baby
Does anyone cheer for Prince William the way they do for Kate Middleton?
Heck, Johnny Depp and Justin Bieber probably don't get the crowds the Duchess of Cambridge gets, and she mostly just waves and does some light chit-chat before disappearing.
According to the BBC and People, on Tuesday, March 5, a crowd of more than 1,000 cheering fans waited for Kate to arrive in the fishing port of Grimsby, north of London, for a series of events. Her helicopter was delayed by more than an hour due to weather, and the crowd chanted "We want Kate!"
One of those fans, Bobbie Brown, 42, told People she asked pregnant Kate if her baby was moving, and Kate responded, "Yes, it is. Very much so." Clever about that "it," Kate! She's not telling us the gender.
"She's beautiful, much better than in the pictures," another fan, Dorothy Garland, 74, said. "She looks so well." Zara Williams, age 6, told the BBC she brought pink roses for Kate: "She was really pretty. She was really nice to me and I liked her clothes." Kate wore a brown coat by Hobbs, one she had worn before — since she likes to “recycle” clothes to show royals don’t always have to be wearing something new. It’s kind of a solidarity thing with us regular people.
Speaking of regular people, Jasmine Grierson, 15, told the BBC, "She was a lot more normal than I expected and easy to talk to."
