American Idol 2013 Season 12 Recap: Semifinals Round 1 — The Ladies
Oh yes, it’s ladies night, and the feeling’s right for the American Idol 2013 Top 10 girls. Tonight, they hit the stage in Las Vegas for the two-hour semi-finals show on FOX starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Until now, it’s been up to the American Idol 2013 judges to narrow down the field, but tonight the tables turn. The viewers take charge, and there’s even a new SuperVote feature that allows you to cast 50 votes at once!
By the conclusion of Thursday night’s 90-minute results show, the elite Top 10 will be revealed, which means, like the Sudden Death round, five of these girls have to go. We’ve got two words when it comes to tonight’s show: pressure cooker.
Kree Harrison is another singer who has had one stellar performance after another. Plus, America is really pulling for her due to her tragic backstory. The country demo singer lost her dad in a plane crash and, four years later, lost her mother in a car accident. This story aside, this girl proves she has the vocals to win it all.
Adriana Latonio commanded the stage like a crafty veteran for her rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Ain’t No Way” during the Sudden Death round, so we are eagerly awaiting what this pint sized vocal powerhouse will do next.
Of course, Zoanette Johnson is just the true wild card in every sense of the term. The judges and viewers have no idea what the original “pooh snap” is going to do next, and she rarely disappoints.
When it comes down to it, each of these ten singers can bring it, so we are in for something special tonight! Check back right here tonight at 8 p.m. ET for our live American Idol recap of the semi-finals round one and watch the performances with us!
