According to the synopsis, Aria (Lucy Hale),Hanna (Ashley Benson), andEmily (Shay Mitchell) start to worry that this isn’t just Spencer grieving over Toby’s (Keegan Allen) alleged betrayal or even Spence taking off on her own, but that “A” may have done something to their friend. Maybe they can re-use those “deepest sympathies” orchids?
But the girls are not the types to give up easily, and they continue searching for Spence.
Meanwhile, as we know from the end of last episode, Spencer is holed up at Club Radley. She was taken to Radley Asylum after finding what looked like Toby’s dead body in the woods outside of town. It looks like Spence may have finally cracked and, according to the synopsis, might not want to be found. If that’s the case, she should have gone to a facility her quasi-ex-boyfriend, Wren (Julian Morris) doesn’t frequent.
For all of you Olympics fans, Gold Medalist Swimmer Missy Franklin will also be making an appearance in the episode. Apparently, Emily will get “the surprise of a lifetime” when she meets her. We’re guessing meeting an Olympic athlete in your sport might be the surprise of a lifetime for a normal person, but Missy has quite a bit to compete with when it comes to the shocks in Emily’s life.
Check out the official synopsis for Pretty Little Liars’ Season 3, Episode 22: “Will the Circle Be Unbroken?”:

But when it turns out even her family doesn’t know where Spencer has gone to, the girls frantically search for answers hoping their worst fears aren’t true. But where Spencer does turn up at, maybe she doesn’t want to be found. Meanwhile, Emily gets the surprise of a lifetime when she meets Gold Medalist Missy Franklin.”
