Valerie Harper Has Terminal Brain Cancer, Just a Few Months to Live
TV legend Valerie Harper is saying goodbye.
The 73-year-old star of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda is on this week's cover of People magazine, sharing the story of her terminal brain cancer.
Valerie told People she got the awful news on January 15. She has leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, and her doctors told her she has as little as three months left to live.
"I don't think of dying," Valerie said. "I think of being here now." As she says in her cover words, “Don’t miss your life.”
