Adam Levine Covers Hollywood Reporter, Receives Justin Timberlake Comparisons (PHOTO)
Adam Levine has been on our radars for quite some time, but with The Voice rejuvenating his career, musically and in general, he’s become a household name. The Hollywood Reporter put the tattooed rocker on its March 15 issue, and after we were done drooling, we found plenty of interesting insight into the star’s life.
Since The Voice premiered in 2011, Adam has gone on to act on FX’s American Horror Story and in the upcoming film Can a Song Save Your Life?. He’s also released his own signature fragrance and is currently designing a clothing line for Kmart. This impressive list doesn’t even include his top-tier guest appearances on Saturday Night Live and the Super Bowl pregame show.
In fact, Adam’s career is starting to be reminiscent of superstar Justin Timberlake.
"If he got the right parts in film, I really feel like Adam could do a Justin Timberlake thing," said American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, "because he has the chops, and, more than that, he has the ambition."
Adam’s SNL episode wasn’t quite as legendary as previous JT ones were, but the singer definitely held his own. He’s even been complimented for his role in AHS.
“I’m not very good at [acting],” he claimed. But Adam admits that acting isn’t as intimidating as performing live.
“You get onstage and perform in front of 10,000 people, and if you f— up, it’s your ass,” he joked. “How scary is it to go into an intimate setting that’s totally comfortable and do something 500 times until you get it right? That’s not pressure.”
As for his upcoming film role? Adam thinks the critics will be pleasantly surprised.
“They'll probably say that I'm a better actor than I am a singer or something," he joked. "They'll find some way to f— me with something negative."
But we find it hard to have negative words for this sexy star. What do you think of Adam’s blossoming career? Tell us below!
