"We had responded to a disturbance call but it didn't have anything to do with him. He and some other people were there and we will check and run identification to make sure they don't have any outstanding warrants and Mr. Rogers did," Ward says. "He just happened to be at the residence. We put him in our holding jail and processed him here and Brunswick County picked him up this morning."
Courtland was served with multiple warrants for his arrest, and he's facing at least one count of Assault on a Female after allegedly "picking her [Jenelle Evans] up, throwing her against the wall, bashing her head on the wall, punching her in the head, back, stomach, and legs" on November 16, 2012 — just weeks before Jenelle and Courtland were married on December 4.
Courtland faces a total of six counts of assault, including Assault on an Unborn Child (Jenelle later miscarried), and could be facing 150 days in prison for each count — which amounts to more than two years.
It appears that Courtland was bailed out of jail the evening of March 6, and apparently has plans to flee the state again. "NOW THAT IM FREE IM COMING TO EVER STATE CITY AREA CODE AND COUNTRIE YA'LL," he tweeted that night. "JUST PUT SO YA'LL CAN MEET THE REAL ME....CAN I??"
Courtland doesn't seem too fazed by his charges, and even tweeted "shout out to BRUNSWICK COUNTY JAIL for actually taking a nice mugshot pic of me lol......damn i am sexy as a motha f—."
In other news, it appears that Courtland has reunited with his daughter, JaJa, in the wake of her mother's mysterious disappearance. "I hate jail by the way watch how i turn my life around now JAJA here dad comes lil angel its our time..n please somebody find taylor 4 me:(" Courtland tweeted, adding "i do....FINALLY" when a fan asked who had custody of his child.
Jenelle Evans is in rehab, and hasn't issued a comment regarding Courtland's arrest.
