Courtland Rogers’s Arrest Warrant Alleges He “Threw” and “Punched” Jenelle Evans (PHOTO)
Earlier today, Wetpaint Entertainment broke the news that Courtland Rogers, estranged husband of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans, was taken into police custody in Pender County, North Carolina on March 5, 2013 and later booked in Brunswick County after being served with multiple warrants for his arrest. Now, we have a copy of one of those warrants, which confirms that Courtland's facing at least one count of Assault on a Female (read: Jenelle Evans).
According to the warrant, which was issued on January 23, 2013, Courtland's charged with "picking her up, throwing her against the wall, bashing her head on the wall, punching her in the head, back, stomach, and legs." Courtland was supposed to appear in court on February 18, but he apparently skipped town and never showed. Yeesh!
The warrant also states that this particular incident allegedly occurred on November 16, 2012 — just before Jenelle got pregnant in early December. According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's department as well Jenelle's lawyer Dustin Sullivan, the defendant is facing a total of six counts, including two for Assault on an Unborn Child, which means the alleged abuse went on for weeks. (She reportedly miscarried on January 25.)
We also know that 27-year-old Courtland could be looking at 150 days in prison for each count.
But this wouldn't be Courty's first time in the slammer. According the North Carolina's Department of Public Safety, Courtland has been incarcerated twice before — first in 2006 after a 2003 arrest for felony drug possession, and again in 2011 after a few misdemeanor offenses that occurred in 2008, including larceny and possession of stolen goods.
As far as we know, Courtland plans to plead not guilty, since he's already told the Twitterverse he didn't do anything wrong. "I never put my hands on her!!" he wrote on January 24 (the tweet has since been removed).
Keep checking back for updates, and tell us what you think of Courtland's arrest warrant below!
