Miley Cyrus Spotted Without Engagement Ring: Bad Sign or No Big Deal?

We know Miley Cyrus can't be tamed — but can Liam Hemsworth?

Miley is
"taking a break from social media" after all the "lies" out there about her life. She said she didn't call off her wedding in the wake of rumors that her fiance, Liam, cheated with January Jones at a pre-Oscars party. A source told People their wedding is still on, although they are working through some problems.

However, Miley was photographed without her engagement ring on, just last night in L.A. A lack of ring flashing doesn't necessarily mean anything, but considering the rumor mess out there, you'd almost think she'd make a show of rocking the ring to emphasize "It's all good."

And Life & Style has a wince-worthy new cover story about the "cheating scandal," with the headline "JILTED BY HER FIANCE" under Miley's photo. According to a guest at the party where January and Liam reportedly got busy, "They went to a private house party, and right in the middle of the party, January was clinging to Liam, saying, 'You're so handsome.' He kept saying, 'We can't do this here.' Then they left holding hands and went out in the hallway and were making out. She was wasted. It wasn't good."

Although Miley has been frustrated with the response to the rumors, an unnamed "friend" told L&S, "Miley is freaking out. She's been telling her friends that she trusts him, but if she finds out the cheating claims are true, their engagement is over."

Meanwhile, amidst all the drama, January Jones has been forced to do The Head Duck of Shame at Paris Fashion Week.

What do you make of all this? Just a minor bump in the road to lasting love or a sign that maybe Miley and Liam committed too early?
