Vampire Diaries’ Mystic Grill to Be Real Restaurant in Covington, GA
Yum! The Vampire Diaries’ Mystic Grill is about to become a real place! According to The Covington News, the new dinning establishment is coming soon to Covington, GA, where the show films.
Owners Angi and John Beszborn and Covington Mayor Ronnie Johnston and wife Kelley hope to open the eatery this summer. The building’s facade has long been used as Mystic Falls’ most popular destination for several seasons on The Vampire Diaries, and the Beszborns and Johnstons want to transform the inside into a local hotspot, including a bar and rooftop dining. In addition, the basement will hold a gift shop full of TVD merchandise.
So what will you be munching on at the Mystic Grill? “The others laugh at me when I say we have to serve chicken tenders, but people like chicken tenders!” says Angi Beszborn. “So we need to have great dishes like pan seared grouper on risotto. And we need to show Covington residents that they don’t need to drive all the way into Atlanta for unique dishes.”
