Glee Spoiler: Is Blaine Really Taking Over the Glee Club?!
Not to hate on Will (Matthew Morrison), but lately boyfriend has been slightly lax in his New Directions leadership. It's like, first he flitted off to D.C. to "lobby for arts education funding" — read: stalk President Obama’s dog, Bo — and now he has the nerve to get a common cold? How dare he.
Yep, turns out everyone's favorite Gleeker (that's Gleek + teacher, obviously) gets plagued by the flu in an upcoming episode, and his horrifying viral infection prevents him from running the glee club!
So does Finn (Cory Monteith) man up again and take his place? Think again, friends. Instead, Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Blaine (Darren Criss) join forces to lead the choir room. Let the nerdy hijinks begin!
"[Sam and Blaine] take over the glee club and start teaching because Mr. Schue goes out with the flu. We kind of take a week to just have fun," Chord Overstreet told TV Guide at a Paley Center event.
This Sam + Blaine take over will coincide with Glee's upcoming Episode 17: “Guilty Pleasures” — which is going to feature a Spice Girls song. After all, there's nothing more fun than spicing up your life in 90s onesies, right guys?
Oh, and in other news, if Mr. Schue ends up out of commission for good, Sam might have a future as New Direction's leader — especially if he doesn't graduate with his class! "I don't know if he will graduate," Chord said. "That hasn't come up once, so nobody really knows what the game plan is about all that."
Consider us worried. Maybe if Sam spent more time on his homework and less time fondling his bangs, he'd get that diploma!
