De’Borah Garner to Release “Coming Out Looking Good”: New Post-Voice Single (First Listen)

In one of the biggest surprises on The Voice Season 3, coach Christina Aguilera opted to eliminate fan favorite De’Borah Garner in favor of pop singer Adriana Louise. Fans were shocked by the diva’s decision, many of them saying the quirky singer could have gone on to win the competition.

But De’Bo’s elimination is a thing of the past and now the confident, talented star is preparing to release her first post-Voice single, “Coming Out Looking Good.”

The Team Xtina singer announced to America and the coaches that she was gay during her blind audition. She later told Wetpaint Entertainment that revealing she was a lesbian on the show was, in fact, the first time she’d ever officially come out.

“I never ever mentioned those words ‘I’m gay.’ I’ve never said that before,” De’Borah said. “And it didn’t even freak me out — it was just like, ‘Whoa, I can’t believe I just said that.’”

Nowadays the singer is out and proud and a real spokeswoman for the LGBT community. As the title indicates, her new single is an homage to her identity as a gay woman.

The toe-tapping tune is set to hit Liquid Spin on March 12, and De’Borah recently shared a video from a performance of the new single in her hometown of Chicago.

Watch the clip below and tell us what you think of her new single!
