Ready to get your speculation on, Glee fandom? Lea Michele just revealed that "familiar face" will be visiting our girl Rachel during an upcoming episode, and the time has come to get sleuthy. Because, really? At this point, all we think about is Glee. It's probably thanks to the fact that our diet consists of slushies and giant cakes with Cory Monteith's (Finn) face painted on them.
Here's what we know: Rachel's preparing for a huge Funny Girl audition in New York City, and it looks like she'll have help from a vocal coach! "Off to #glee tomorrow!" Lea Michele tweeted on March 11. "Rachel's gonna get a visit from a familiar face we haven't seen in a while [sic]. And a big audition to prepare for!"
Um, consider us excited! Who could this familiar face belong to?! As far as we're concerned there are three options. First up, there’s Rachel's birth mom, Shelby Corcoran (broadway superstar Idina Menzel), a renowned glee club coach who we haven't seen since Season 3. Who better than Rachel’s mom to lend support and training for Rachel’s first big Broadway audition?
Our second guess would be former McKinley glee star April Rhodes (Kristin Chenoweth), who's been rocking a one-woman Broadway show since we last saw her at McKinley High. Real-life Broadway experience would certainly be a help to Rachel as she prepares for her audition.
April would definitely have some pro-tips for Rachel, but let's not forget about Miss Berry's ex-boyfriend, Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff). This dude is also an experienced glee coach, and could definitely help Rachel get her Funny Girl on. Plus, we wouldn't say no to a sexy reunion! Anything for a St. Berry reunion... and for the chance to see Jonathan’s beautiful face on our TV screens again.
Which familiar face do you think is helping Rachel prepare for her audition? Hit the comments, guys and dolls!
