Olivia Wilde: I Didn’t Feel “Beautiful Enough” For Jason Sudeikis
It sounds like Olivia Wilde once had fairly "horrible" self-esteem.
The smokin' hot Tron: Legacy actress tells Marie Claire that she was worried about what now-fiancé Jason Sudeikis thought of her when they first met.
"I thought, 'He won't be interested in me; I'm not a contender,'" Olivia admits about the Horrible Bosses star. "He was so cool, so funny — I was such a fan of his and had always fancied his speed and his intelligence. He's a brilliant actor with a brain like lightning."
"I thought, 'I'm not beautiful enough or his type,'" she continues. Uh, if Olivia doesn't think she's pretty enough, what hope do the rest of us have?
Olivia explains that she had a poor sense of self following her painful split from her first husband, Tao Ruspoli, whom she married when she was 19.
"I hung on for as long as possible, until it was more hurtful to stay," she says of her first marriage. "I'm so grateful for the pain and the heartbreak. It gave me the courage to leave and brought me to the great love of my life."
Olivia first met Jason at the 2011 finale of Saturday Night Live, and they hit it off immediately.
"He seemed to really see me, see through the bulls**t," Olivia says.
They didn't have their first date until six months after that, although the chemistry was evident during that first date.
"On our first date, in New York City, we closed the restaurant down at 2 a.m.!" she says. "He didn't kiss me, and I was madly in love. I was overwhelmed."
Now that they are planning a wedding, the couple has started to think about little ones.
"I can't wait for children," she says. "I'm open-minded about how many, but three, which I love, is like a little party."
"He's so good with kids," Olivia adds about Jason. "I've never before experienced looking at someone and thinking, 'That's who I want to raise a child with.'"
Aww! These two sound great together! Thank goodness for SNL parties.
