Teen Mom 2’s Chelsea Houska Has What Kind of Birth Control?
Teen Mom 2's Chelsea Houska had us jaw-dropping all over our bag of cheese puffs when she had unprotected sex with her baby daddy, Adam Lind on last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2. Last time we checked, Chelsea had an IUD –– but apparently the little fella popped out of Chel-Chel's lady parts and left her danger zone all kinds of unprepared from Adam's swimmers.
Luckily, Chelsea didn't get pregnant after having unprotected sex, but the experience was definitely a wake up call. Our girl Chel-Chel promptly hit up the gynecologist and had an IUD re-inserted. This time, the Teen Mom 2 leading lady opted for the Mirena IUD, a T-shaped piece of plastic which releases small amounts of hormones that protect against unplanned pregnancy. The IUD will protect her against pregnancy for up to five years with minimal side effects.
Chelsea’s Teen Mom 2 co-star Kailyn Lowry also has an IUD — and had it inserted on TV during Season 2, Episode 4 of Teen Mom 2! We have to admit it was slightly traumatic, but empowering nonetheless.
The Mirena IUD is a great birth control option for gals like Chelsea and Kailyn because it can be easily reversed in the event you want more kids, it doesn't cause significant weight gain, and it makes your menstrual cycle lighter! Plus, you don’t have to remember to take anything because it's in your body 24/7!
Hopefully Chel-Chel can keep her IUD in this time. We don’t think Chelsea’s ready to give her daughter, Aubree, a little brother or sister and we’re not sure we can handle her popping out a new baby anytime soon.
