Why Isn’t Dana Wilkey a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Regular? — Exclusive!

After her recent reappearance on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 3, some fans are curious what happened to Dana Wilkey and why she never ended up as a regular cast member on the series.

The cast for Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was revealed in September, and it included series regulars Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle and Kim Richards, Taylor Armstrong, and Adrienne Maloof. Newcomer Yolanda H. Foster was also added.

One name, however, was noticeably missing from the list. While Brandi Glanville was upgraded to full-time Housewife, Dana Wilkey — billed as a “friend” of the Housewives and Taylor Armstrong’s close confidant in Season 2 — didn't appear in any cast photos or video previews, nor was she at the premiere party. Now, Wetpaint Entertainment can exclusively reveal why Dana did NOT be return to the hit series as a regular.

“Everyone in the cast got along fine with Dana,” a show insider explains, “but she never developed her own storyline. And instead of creating a lot of drama like Brandi [Glanville] did, she was just kind of there.”

“Everyone thinks Dana’s a great person,” the insider adds, “but it came down to whether or not she could add anything to the show.”

And while her planned wedding in an Italian castle may have made for great TV, Dana recently announced that the nuptials had been called off, giving producers even less to work with.

But we’re not too worried about her. We doubt Dana — or recurring Housewife Camille Grammer for that matter — will be joining the unemployment line anytime soon!
