Kim Kardashian Divorce: Did She Reshoot “Surprise” Marriage Proposal?

Ouch! Today does not bear great news for Kim Kardashian in her divorce suit with second husband Kris Humphries. Reportedly, In Touch Weekly and Life & Style both got their hands on court docs containing deposition testimony from a Keeping Up With The Kardashians producer. And it sounds like what he had to say may support Kris Humphries’ fraud claim against Kim. Perhaps the juiciest piece of evidence: Kris’s “surprise” proposal was actually re-shot for a better reaction from Kim!

Kris is pursuing an annulment of their 72-day marriage on the grounds that Kim faked her way through the marriage for publicity and higher ratings. Kim, on the other hand, insists that — although she may have rushed into things or felt pressured to go through with the wedding — her feelings for her ex were real. But after reading some of the testimony given by KUWTK producer Russell Jay, we’re not so sure.

When asked about whether certain scenes from the reality show are ever reshot, Russell said, “I remember, like, Kim — she didn’t know that he was going to propose at that moment. And she came in and she was completely surprised, and I think she had a bad reaction or something and she was embarrassed. So she said, ‘Can we just, like, have me come back in one more time and be, like, really surprised?’”

Russell also claimed that Kim’s confession to her mom, Kris Jenner, that she was unhappy in her marriage was actually shot after Kim had filed for divorce. And that scene where Kim was livid with Kris for throwing a party in their hotel room? According to Life & Style, Russell claims that Kim was aware of the party and was actually in the hotel when it went down. However, on the show, viewers were led to believe that Kim was out of town.

“They set Kris up to look like a jerk,” a friend tells L&S. “Anyone who loves someone would not team up with their production team to make them look like a fool on TV.”

However, Kim’s people tell In Touch that she’s not worried: “It’s a TV show, not a documentary, and it’s normal to reshoot scenes.” As for whether Kim’s feelings were real or made for TV, the source says, “The issue here is whether Kim lied about loving Kris, and she did not. So all the depositions in the world will not prove that she lied about loving him.”

What do you think: does Kris have a case, or is he making a mountain out of a molehill?
