Pregnant Kim Kardashian has been pretty open about her insecurities about her pregnancy weight gain, but is she taking it to the extreme? In a recent “mommy blog” post, Kim talked about her latest fitness obsession: “The Body Reset Diet.” Keyword? “Diet.” Should Kim really be dieting when she’s nearly five months pregnant?
The mama-to-be clearly wants to make sure her baby is healthy — she even says so in her post: “Keeping a healthy lifestyle has always been important to me and now it’s even more important because I am looking out for someone else’s well being other than just my own.” Kim continues to explain that she’s been looking for a healthy meal plan that offers balanced nutrition.
But that’s where this diet book comes in — a plan that promises to help you “immediately lose weight no matter how many times you’ve tried in the past.” We’re not diet experts or obstetricians by any means. However, we think it’s a little alarming when a woman midway through her pregnancy term is following a diet targeted at shedding unwanted pounds rather than, say, a doctor-recommended diet designed for pregnant women.
We get that pregnancy isn’t a license to literally eat for two, and it’s cool that Kim wants to find a balanced meal plan that ensures she doesn’t gain more than she needs to. We just really hope Kim cleared this plan with her OB-GYN, especially since she’s promoting it on her blog — which is read by countless women (who may be expectant mothers, too) on a daily basis.
What do you think: is it crazy that Kim’s on a diet, or is it NBD?
