Hold onto your hats, PLL-ers! Tyler called the Season 3 finale “more shocking than any other finale. There are some pretty crazy reveals and they hit really close to the home base of the show.” Could he be talking about the Red Coat Reveal? The unveiling of Ali's twin? Or perhaps the revelation of Toby’s true motives? Tyler did say that we’ll “really get to see some people’s true colors,” but we think he may be talking about his father, Jamie, rather than our favorite “A” Team-er.
Jamie showed up on a the scene this season. Caleb grew up thinking Jamie was his uncle, but Hanna (Ashley Benson) put two and two together and facilitated a reconciliation between the estranged father and son. Unfortunately, Hanna has suspicions that Jamie is stealing from the church where she helped him get a construction job. This girl can’t catch a break! “Caleb comes from this sort of broken past and he’s now very hopeful and content about his future, that he has all these new family members coming in,” said Tyler about recent Caleb developments. “But because it’s Rosewood, nothing is what it seems, so I think there’s going to be some disappointment there for Caleb unfortunately.” With all of the deceit and destruction caused by “A,” sometimes we forget that Rosewood residents have real-world problems, too.
Luckily, Caleb has Hanna to console him through any disappointments. Right now, they are the strongest couple on the show. Tyler thinks they make such a good team because they are so different from one another: “They met and they were just polar opposites...They brought so much to each other’s lives so quickly and they continue to do so. And I feel like because they both are a little bit feisty, it’s like they maintain that fire in them to stay together.” Aw! Tyler is a Haleb shipper, too.
So, what does the future hold for Caleb? Tyler wouldn’t go into details or, rather unsettlingly, deny that he wouldn’t be killed off in the finale. Just when we thought we had enough to worry about. Poor Caleb got shot in last season’s finale. We thought we could take a year off from worrying about him, but Tyler had this to say: “Who knows? It’s TV. Anything could happen.” So true, Tyler. So true.
