Why Bachelor Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici Are Saving Sex for Marriage
The stars from The Bachelor Season 17, Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici, are planning on exchanging vows on their wedding day, but they are also vowing to put off one other thing until then: physical intimacy.
Millions watched Sean's journey for love this season on The Bachelor that led to him proposing to Catherine Giudici Monday night. Beyond Sean's good looks and penchant for appearing shirtless on screen though, much of the adulation and popularity he experienced was driven by his demeanor and personality.
On a show like The Bachelor, where the main star can appear as something of a playboy, Sean was quite the opposite. He cultivated an image of respectfulness and integrity through his actions and conduct on the show and this idea seems to be translating to the engagement process he is currently enjoying with Catherine.
"From my perspective, I've lived life kind of selfishly for a long time," says Sean, a conservative Christian and born-again virgin. "Now, I'm going to try to live it the way I know to be right."
As for his bride-to-be's feelings on the topic? "I honor him," she says.
Though a date hasn’t been formerly announced, we do know that it will be on a televised special for ABC. We also know that if Sean had it his way, it would be much sooner than that. "I'm a guy. I'd go to the courthouse tomorrow if she'd let me," says Sean. "We just fit so well together. We both know it's right."
