The Voice

Blake Shelton Earns Two Gold Songs Awards and Platinum Certifications

Christina Aguilera was a household name before The Voice, but the other celebrity coaches have all solidified their names in their three seasons on the hit music show. Country singer Blake Shelton has made the biggest jump, and in the past few years, he has been named CMA Entertainer of the Year in addition to taking home the Male Vocalist of the Year award at the ACM awards.

In February 2013, Blake earned his first Platinum album certification for his record Red River Blue. And now the vodka-drinking star has raked in even more honors.

Blake has earned two Gold song awards for his tunes “Ol’ Red” and “Austin” in addition to Gold and Platinum certifications for “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking.”

It seems that there’s nothing this crooner can’t accomplish! We’re anxiously awaiting the release of his album Based on a True Story... on March 26 just one day after the Season 4 premiere of The Voice.

And speaking of The Voice, Blake has won the last two seasons. Could Season 4 mark his third victory? Guess we’ll have to tune in to find out.

Are you surprised that Blake has produced so many hits and won so many awards in the last year? Tell us below!
