Camila Alves Opens Up About Her Tough Pregnancy With Baby Livingston
It may have been her third time around, but Camila Alves says her last pregnancy was very different. The Brazilian model and husband Matthew McConaughey welcomed baby Livingston in December, and she says it was a “really tough” pregnancy. She has two other children with Matthew: Levi, 4, and Vida, 3.
"I had a really tough pregnancy. I had all kind of things happen," the 31-year-old mom revealed on The View on Wednesday. "Throughout the whole pregnancy I had really strong pains and I kept telling the doctors. We kept trying to figure out what it was, what was happening. Nobody could figure out what it was. So, we ended up having to do a C-section. I told the doctor right before, 'Once I'm there, just take a look because I know something's wrong.' They ended up finding all kinds of things in there that we had to take care of."
Camila says it's been a long road to recovery since Livingston's birth. "I am not able to exercise because of the recovery that I have now. I can't pick up my kids really, I have another four weeks to go."
The brunette beauty aims to lose all of the baby weight she gained, and so far she's doing so by drinking lots of water and avoiding dairy, since exercise is out of the picture at the moment. "I had to learning about the eating, the diet, how you do it," she said. "It's hard to have dairy when you're trying to lose weight."
