Kree Harrison American Idol 2013 Top 10 Performance (VIDEO)

American Idol 2013 isn’t Kree Harrison’s first brush with television notoriety. When Kree was just a tiny girl of eight, she performed multiple times on The Rosie O’Donnell Show. Her 15 minutes of fame brought her a record deal before she even hit her teens, but the Texas native ended up ditching the label to pursue a more country vibe.

Like many great country singers before her, Kree’s passion for music comes flavored with a touch of sadness. She lost both her parents when she was just a kid. Her father died in a plane crash when she was 12, and her mom died just a few years later in a car accident. Even with all that has happened in her young life, Kree hasn’t let tragedy overcome her dreams of being a star.

Now living in Nashville, Kree Harrison hopes she’ll be following in the footsteps of former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood. After watching her perform this season, we have high hopes she’ll be earning her very own Grammys in the not-too-distant future. We may not have taken much notice of Kree until her breakout performance of “Stars” by Grace Potter during the Hollywood rounds, but we’ve become big fans since.

The theme for the American Idol Top 10 performances show this week was ‘Songs of the American Idols’ and we were sure Kree was going to rock whatever song she chose. Let us know how you think she did!
