Christina Hendricks, who will return with Mad Men Season 6 when it premieres on April 7, recently talked about an embarrassing fall. "I was walking down the stairs in pajamas and I slipped," she said (via The West Australian). "I bounced down and had bruises from my bum down to my ankle. It was really painful and unattractive."
It's hard to imagine Christina unattractive — but apparently she was also told her hair looked "ugly" back when she first colored it. She's famous now for her red hair, but she first started out modeling as a blonde; then she got a job that wanted her to dye her hair bright red. "I'd always wanted to, but the head of my agency was like, 'You look terrible, it's so ugly, you cannot have red hair,’” Christina said. “I came back as a redhead and couldn't get my hair back to blonde for two days — in the meantime I had to audition. I booked two or three jobs, because there were a lot fewer redheads than blondes, and I was like, this is working for me, I'm keeping this."
Good plan! That agency head is the one feeling embarrassed now.
