Michelle Obama in Vogue: Family Is Our Number One Priority
The First Lady, her bangs, and her super-toned arms all look fabulous on the cover the April issue ofVogue, which will be out on newsstands in the next couple of weeks.
For her second cover for the magazine (the first was in March 2009), the First Lady poses in a peacock blue Reed Krakoff dress which she reportedly pulled from her own wardrobe. In the interview with Jonathan Van Meter, she shares her thoughts on life with the President, parenting, marriage, and fashion.
This being Vogue, the First Lady was asked about her signature style, and she’s very matter of fact about the importance of comfort. “If you’re comfortable in your clothes it’s easy to connect with people and make them feel comfortable as well,” said Michelle.
As usual, the First Lady was also frank about her family’s priorities. When asked about rumors that the Obamas have sometimes been termed “anti-social” compared with other first couples — such as the Clintons — Michelle responded, “You know, we have small kids; they’re growing every day. But I think we were both pretty straightforward when we said, ‘Our number-one priority is making sure that our family is whole.”
