Fifty Shades of Grey Casting: Emma Watson Doesn’t Want to Star
Is Emma Watson ready to trade in wands and spells for whips and chains?
Not if she has anything to say about it.
The British beauty has been rumored to be the frontrunner in the race for the role of Anastasia in the big-screen adaptation of E.L. James’ BDSM hit Fifty Shades of Grey, with hacked documents allegedly confirming her participation in the project, but now Emma is finally adding her two cents to the story.
On Saturday, Emma tweeted, “Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life.”
Universal, the studio behind the upcoming film, confirmed to The Wrap that no casting decisions have been made as of yet.
While some conspiracy theorists have speculated that Emma’s not-quite-outright denial of the rumors could be a hint that she will be involved in the movie, until she's caught red-handed (or handcuffed, as it may be), her words will have to serve as proof enough.
