While they are in “no rush to get married,” that doesn’t stop Sammi from dreaming about getting hitched and having a few kids — in fact, she revealed to Wetpaint Entertainment that she wouldn’t be upset if she has “kids tomorrow.”
Read on to see what Sam had to say about her dream wedding, settling down and buying a house in the ‘burbs, and what milestone she and Ron may be tackling soon. (Hint: it’s fluffy and cute!) And hey, considering he gave her diamonds for her birthday, an engagement could be right around the corner.
Wetpaint Entertainment: How long have you and Ron been together now? Almost four years?
Sammi Sweetheart: Yeah, it’s been a long time!
Do you think he feels pressure to propose now that Snooki and JWOWW are both engaged?
I’m definitely in no rush to get married and I don’t think he is, either. We kind of went backwards in our relationship, so I think for us, taking things slower than Jenni and Nicole is just better. I think it works for us. I don’t think he feels pressured — I think that he’s strong enough that if he’s ready to get married, that day will come, and if not... you never know what’s gonna happen! I hope one day that I’ll get married. I still think I’m young and I have a lot of life to live, so I’m not rushing around at all.
Do you have anything for your dream wedding, like a huge princess dress or a certain type of engagement ring?
No, actually I’m weird, I guess. I wasn’t the type of girl who dreamed about diamonds and stuff growing up. My older sister, Nikki, is actually getting married in June and I’m the maid of honor, so I’m actually really busy helping my sister right now for her wedding. And all of this wedding stuff is like, a lot. It’s a big deal in my family right now!
Maybe some of the pressure is off of you because you’re younger!
Yeah. I’m focusing primarily on my sister right now, so that’s like kind of out the window.
Do you have a number of kids you’d want to have? Snooki says she wants to have four or five kids...
I definitely can see Nicole having four or five kids! [Laughs] I don’t care. It doesn’t matter to me. I don’t think I can’t have just one because I feel like I would have to have another one so they can have a playmate; have brothers or sisters. I grew up with two sisters and I just loved being able to lean on my sisters, so I would have more than one kid.
Would you wait until you travel and settle in your career to have kids?
Right now it doesn’t really matter to me. If I have kids tomorrow, then great. If I don’t and I wait, that’s fine. When I say I feel like I’m still young, there are a lot of things that I want to do, like elaborate on my branding and my products and still live in the moment and not worry right now about getting married and having kids. So whenever I get married and have kids, it doesn’t matter, but right now I’m still kind of focusing on myself.
I want to travel still. I want to make sure I’m able to support a family one day. I don’t know, there’s a lot of stuff I want to do for myself. And then when the time comes when me and Ron both figure ourselves out and we’re able to get married and have a family, I know that definitely will happen.
Do you think you’ll stay in the city for good, or would you want to move to the suburbs — or even Jersey — when you settle down?
I’m a total Jersey girl, so I love Jersey. And I love the suburbs, so maybe one day we’ll get a house and live in the suburbs together. I don’t think it will be in New Jersey though, but maybe New York.
I know you have an adorable pup named Kylie. Are you thinking of getting any more pets?
Me and Ron are thinking about getting a dog all the time, but Kylie is my mom’s dog, so whenever I go home she’s like my baby. But we’ve been thinking about getting a pet. I don’t know. I don’t know when, but we’ve been looking around for cute pets all the time!
