Did Kim Kardashian’s Film Role Help Her Deal With Her Nasty Divorce?
Kim Kardashian has gushed at length about her experience working on Tyler Perry’s latest film, Temptation: Confessions Of A Marriage Counselor. That’s no big surprise, because it is her biggest film role to date, and Perry himself has praised her for it. But was it just a chance for Kim to stretch her acting legs, or was it also therapeutic?
While walking the red carpet at the Atlanta premiere of the film recently, Kim was asked by E! News if she found appearing in the movie, “Cathartic, because you were going through a divorce at the time, and this movie’s all about crazy relationships.”
And as for being cathartic, “You know what?” Kim said. “It was.”
She added, “I play a marriage counselor, ironically,” poking fun at herself and her 72-day marriage to Kris.
So it sounds like being on set, in a film dealing with the realities of relationship drama, was pretty helpful for Kim. “Usually when someone talks about relationships and temptation and the struggles in relationship it’s usually the guy doing wrong,” she said of the film. “This is flipped. It’s the girls, and the temptations that girls have, and it’s really real.”
In our opinion, Kim deserves a little catharsis, and hey, all have our coping mechanisms! We usually stick with ice cream over appearing in major motion pictures, but considering the divorce hell she's going through, we think Kim's earned it.
