Beyoncé may have ascended to Hollywood’s upper echelon with her off-the-charts music and film careers, but for every million fans happy to bow down to Queen Bey, there’s got to be a hater.
E! Online reports that Singer Keyshia Cole is among Beyoncé’s detractors, calling into question the message of her recent single, “Bow Down/I Been On.”
“Can't stand when people all self righteous when it's convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk s**t when convenient 2 FOH,” Keyshia tweeted, referring to the contrast between Beyoncé’s nice girl image and her commands for fans and other artists to “bow down.”
“First ‘Women need to Stick together’ now bitches better Bow. Smh. But it's all G! Chicks stay shooting the shit. But when I speak my mind its a prob. #Well #StayMad,” wrote Keyshia.
While Beyoncé hasn’t responded publicly to her fellow artist’s jabs, members of her “BeyHive” were quick to defend her, telling Keyshia, among other things, “know your place,” and tweeting, “Trying to come at Beyoncé? It's like you want your career to end.”
Well, like they say, there’s no such thing as bad publicity.
